The Town of Wasaga Beach is a popular four-season tourist destination situated in Simcoe County at the southern end of Georgian Bay and has many natural area attractions. It is nestled in and around 14 kilometres of white sandy beach on Nottawasaga Bay and the winding Nottawasaga River.
Over two million people visit the town every summer to stroll the shores of the longest freshwater beach in the world, swim in warm clean waters and enjoy the panoramic mountain view across the Bay.
Saga Resort is located within a 3 minute walk to the main beach at Beach Area One.
Summer
Summer (July and August) in Wasaga Beach is the most popular and busiest time of the year. The weather is usually consistent, lovely and warm. The water at the beach warms nicely as it is very shallow and a few days of hot sunshine brings up the temperature quickly.
